MAINTENANCE SUPERVISOR

Our organization is seeking an experienced, highly motivated, and well-organized professional to fill the permanent position of Maintenance Supervisor at our quarry in Lower Cove, NL. The ideal candidate must be able to work independently and possess the necessary interpersonal and professional skills to function in a leadership role. We are looking for an individual who has previous supervisory experience and a background in heavy equipment maintenance and who can also supervise other aspects of our fixed equipment maintenance program.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Works toward safety goals in all aspects of this role.

- Supervises and coordinates the maintenance of both mobile and fixed equipment.

- Supports the Production Department by responding to requests promptly in order that production quotas are maintained.

- Adopts a “customer service” approach to assist all external stakeholders with their maintenance activities.

- Develops close relationships with contractors to ensure that the work they perform is completed on time, meets Company standards and provides value for money.

- Conducts regular inspections and audits to identify areas for improvement.

- Maintains appropriate documentation.

- Uses Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) in a variety of functions.’

- Performs other job responsibilities as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

Applicants must have completed a Red Seal Certification in an appropriate maintenance trade and have significant experience in the mining industry.

- Excellent interpersonal skills.

- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills

- Strong written and oral communication skills.

- A valid driver’s license.

SALARY

Commensurate with Qualifications and Experience
