Job Title: Legal Counsel

As the Legal Counsel, you will be responsible for ensuring that all commercial proposals/transactions are carried out in compliance with the Company’s policies and governance rules. You will support the UK business unit in respect of all UK legal matters relating to engineering, procurement, construction (EPC) projects, major procurements with clients, partners, subcontractors and suppliers globally, including certain corporate secretarial matters.
What will you do?
- Assist Linxon with all legal issues such as contract law, corporate law, and antitrust law (excluding tax matters);
- Provide advice and guidance in respect of construction claims and disputes and managing the resolution of those claims;
- Train Linxon employees in Linxon internal regulations as well as in legal matters;
- As a pro-active, ethical, business-minded and out-of-the-box thinker, you will research, advise, prepare, draft, review, comment and/or negotiate complex contractual documents, and other relevant legal documentation for local or regional EPC projects ;
- Provide legal advice and opinions on risks and related commercial issues analysis;
- Participate in the negotiation process and finalization of various contracts with clients, joint ventures, subcontractors and suppliers;
- Liaise with other corporate functions and stakeholders to ensure compliance with corporate governance requirements;
- Interpret laws, decrees and any other documents of a legal nature, ensuring that the interests of the corporation are adequately protected; and
- Participate in the application and follow up of the corporations’ policies, procedures, and internal rules.
Experience required
- Demonstrates exceptional proficiency in English, additional languages considered an asset.
- Good years of commercial law experience related to EPC/construction/litigation in a major firm or corporation. Other relevant experiences may also be considered.
- Possesses outstanding drafting and analytical skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Provide timely legal advice and work within a small, fast-paced team in a multidisciplinary environment.
- Be a strategic communicator, self-motivated, with a practical and flexible approach.
- Positive, solution-focused, and results-driven attitude
Formal Education and Training Required:
- Qualified Solicitor in UK and Wales
