Responsibilities
- Develop schematics and on-line drawings from engineering sketches or mark-ups
- Gathers information needed to develop design and verify voltage separation requirements are met
- Model electrical components using vendor submittals and electrical designs
- Creates plan drawings and details for electrical deliverables
- Develops 3D models utilizing drawings, sketches, and designs skills
- Check and navigates in the 3D model for interferences and constructability
- Routes electrical cables in a 3D environment to generate a cable schedule.
- Complete As-Builts by utilizing Request for Information (RFI) forms, Engineering Change Notices (ECNs) and red-lines drawings from construction.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a related field
- At least 10 years of experience designing electrical systems and knowledge of electrical industry standards and regulations
- English Advanced is a must
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
- Knowledge and application of current version of the NOM-001-SEDE
- Experience with Autocad 2D & 3D, Navisworks, Microstation, SmartPlant 3D, SmartPlant lnstrumentation visual,Lightning, Dialux, Sizer Cable Calculation, Revit desirable
- Familiarity with specification requirements and electrical installation details of construction material lists and equipment
- Able to design duct bank, embedded conduit, cable tray, grounding, lightning and lighting systems from concept to completion utilizing engineering documents
