Your Next Challenge
Reporting to the Supply Chain Superintendent, you will be part of the Supply Chain Department. You will be responsible for the management of inventory to support operations, in accordance with policies, procedures and applicable laws and regulations. You will also ensure that the goals and objectives are achieved while promoting and respecting Agnico Eagle’s values, Health & Safety Code of Conduct and the environment.
- Manage inventory creation and update materials for efficient procurement and inventory control;
- Review and approve inventory creation requests and consumption rate adjustments;
- Oversee inventory management functions to ensure materials are available to support operational requirements in a cost-effective manner;
- Track repairable items and coordinate with planners, buyers, and warehouse yard to facilitate smooth tracking and movement of materials;
- Identify and implement new warehouse process strategies;
- Collaborate on site warehouse initiatives such as storage space optimization, stock organization, and other future initiatives;
- Collaborate on the development of controls for non secure inventory;
- Organize and manage cycle counts;
- Investigate inventory count discrepancies and perform audits, ensuring comprehensive cycle count completion in conjunction with Warehouse Supervisors;
- Collaborate on site initiatives with end users and the warehouse team to identify and reallocate/dispose of slow-moving and obsolete items;
- Establish processes to manage obsolete materials and measure overall inventory performance;
- Support monthly, quarterly, and annual audit requirements, maintain up-to-date records, and report on monthly activities;
- Review and process reagent and fuel month-end reconciliation;
- Work with departments and procurement to manage and organize long lead time orders;
- Foster a positive culture focused on health, safety, and environmental responsibility, while actively supporting the Internal Responsibility System.
What You Need To Succeed
- Minimum High School Diploma or GED;
- 5 years of experience in inventory management in an industrial setting;
- Experience with inventory management software applications such as SAP;
- Knowledge and understanding of mechanical components;
- Experience working at a mine site is considered an asset;
- Excellent working knowledge of all Microsoft Office Suite applications especially Outlook, Excel, Word & PowerPoint.
